Report – Wednesday, December 6, 2023

Training flight Overview:
The scheduled release time for pigeons on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, was adjusted due to exceptionally favorable weather conditions. The decision aimed to facilitate an increased number of arrivals before noon, taking into consideration the warming temperatures in Dubai during the later part of the day.
In contrast to the prior training flight (Race 1) conducted on Sunday, the prevailing weather conditions on this occasion were notably more favorable. Notably, lower humidity levels contributed to a reduction in haze over the Dubai desert, providing improved visibility for the participating pigeons.
Two pigeons arrived first, followed closely by a group of approximately 50 pigeons arriving a minute later. Subsequently, two larger groups made their arrivals, one originating from the West (release point) and another from a slightly more South West trajectory. The majority of pigeons completed the race within one hour.
Review of Previous Tough Race:
The tough race on Sunday was discussed with several experts, and no specific reason was found why it was such a tough race, although the weather conditions were a bit better today, there is no specific reason why the training flight was so much easier.
It is probably part of the unpredictability of pigeon racing. The discussions with the experts, however, gave us invaluable insights to improve our procedures.
