Exclusive Pigeon: A Prominent player in the Dubai One Loft Pigeon Race
When did you and Jens start working together?
Andreas Stemmer: Jens and I decided to establish a breeding community in 2019 with the goal of testing the offspring of breeding pairs in One Loft races and conventional racing programs. Our approach allows us to quickly identify top breeding performers, dedicating our resources to pigeons that meet our loft’s criteria. We breed in breeding compartments to avoid cross-fertilization.
Can you tell us about the lines or strains you have? Any special foundation breeders?
Jens Taddigs: Our breeding stock includes Kittel from van den Bulck, Supreme from Herbots, Rico from Herbots, Children of Porsche, Prince Porsche, Porsche from PEC, Blue Best Kittel, Best Kittel 2, Pipa Breeding, and more. We select pigeons with good race results and look for strong bloodlines and specific physical characteristics.
Could you share a few tips?
Andreas Stemmer: Continuous learning is key. We study winning bloodlines and prioritize pigeons with specific criteria like plumage and size. Additionally, thorough preparation before sending pigeons to One Loft races is crucial for success.
What do you like about the OLR concept?
Jens Taddigs: We want to play against the best in the world in the same conditions. Unlike traditional racing programs, where factors like wind and location play significant roles, OLR offers a level playing field that truly tests the quality of the pigeons.
