Freddy & Jacques Vandenheede: 4 times Champions of Belgian Pigeon Racing

Welcome Freddy & Jacques Vandenheede: 4 times Champions of Belgian Pigeon Racing

Freddy and Jacques Vandenheede, from Belgium, are among the most respected pigeon fanciers in the world. Their passion for the sport comes from their parents, René and Simonne, who were also dedicated pigeon breeders.

Jacques started racing on his own in 1967, and Freddy followed in 1974. In 2008, the two brothers joined forces, marking the beginning of an exceptional partnership. Together, they became General National Champions of Belgium KBDB four times — in 2012, 2017, 2018 and 2022 — a rare and remarkable achievement.

The 2024 season has been one of their best yet. The Vandenheede brothers secured three 1st National victories, including a strong showing at Souillac, where they placed 30 pigeons among the national top 100. Their pigeon “René,” named in honor of their father, won 1st National at Souillac.

Their long-term success is the result of careful breeding, combining the original family bloodlines with top De Rauw-Sablon genetics. This strategy has created a family of pigeons capable of winning at various distances and in different racing conditions.
