The pigeons of Jan Hooymans have been racing under the name Team Hooymans in various countries. Meanwhile, Jan Hooymans enjoys racing his pigeons from his loft in Kerkdriel, focusing primarily on One Loft Races.
At the core of Hooymans Pigeons is Harry, the legendary racer and breeder who has been fundamental to many of the loft’s successes. The Harry bloodline has consistently demonstrated its value across different lofts.
One of the most significant heirs to Harry’s legacy is Harry Junior. As one of Harry’s last offspring, Harry Junior has proven to be an exceptional breeder in his own right. Harry Junior was moved to the breeding lofts halfway through 2016 when Harry could no longer fertilize eggs. From 2020 onwards, Harry Junior has been paired with some of his father Harry’s old sisters to maintain and enhance the lineage. These inbred youngsters are selectively bred for the lofts, ensuring that the exceptional qualities of the Hooymans pigeons endure for future generations.
