Arkadiusz Maziarz is 32 years old and the owner of the Maziarz Racing Team from Poland. Arkadiusz lives in the Polish Tatra mountains. He graduated in English and German and is a professional pigeon fancier. His knowledge of different languages has enabled him to connect with other pigeon fanciers worldwide and build excellent relationships with the best breeding lofts.
In 2011 the Maziarz family started buying their first pigeons from the best lofts in Europe. They purchased the first pigeons from Family Freialdenhofen, the six times Champions of Germany in long-distance pigeon racing.
– What was your best experience as a pigeon fancier?
We currently only play One Loft Races. In 2019 and 2020, we won the World League in the category sprint. In 2021 we won the 2021 FCI World Championship for the most prizes. I am also really proud that we ended five times in the top 3 in the most prestigious one-loft races in the world.
– What are your secrets for successful breeding?
The most important is to have healthy pigeons and good genes. We have lots of fantastic pigeons from the best lofts in Europe. The pigeons from Freialdenhofen, for example, are great racing and breeding pigeons. We have offspring from Forrest Gump, Marseille Star, Barcelona King, Diana, de Favorit, The Last Son of Max, Sprinter, etc… which are crossed with other strains like Heremans, Herbots, Steveninck, Soontjens, Koopmans, and other top lofts. In this way, we create new bloodlines, which give us fantastic breeders and racers. We have successfully connected the best bloodlines from Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany; this way, our pigeons can win under challenging races from 100-1100km. The last strains we introduced in our breeding loft are Rauw Sablon and Flor Vervoort.
– What do you think about the Dubai One Loft Pigeon Race?
I have high expectations of the race and am convinced that the Dubai One Loft Pigeon Race will be one of the best pigeon sprint races in the pigeon sport.
– Any advice for fanciers willing to participate in One Loft Races?
The selection of very healthy and strong birds is primordial. Genes are essential, but a good pedigree does not give you any guarantee. The best pigeon coach/trainer is Mr. Basket. Race your pigeons and make a rigorous selection based on results rather than pedigrees.
