Provisional Race Report – Qualification Race

A total of 1700 pigeons have already arrived from the race. It was a very tough race, and most OLRs and clubs in the region had low return rates this weekend. The option to postpone was discussed, but given that the conditions were tough but fair, the racing committee decided to proceed with the race. This decision was supported by the fact that this race served as the qualification race, and pigeons had to be activated after completing it. The qualification race will conclude on Friday morning.
The conditions in the Middle East have been challenging lately, with pigeons experiencing a headwind in all races, while in normal conditions the prevailing wind direction in Dubai is a sideways tailwind. The average speed is around 1000m/minute, highlighting the tough conditions.
The pedigrees of the top 10 pigeons winning the qualification race all showcase a rich lineage with strains accustomed to racing in tough conditions. The first pigeons to arrive in the race came from renowned lofts worldwide. A final race report will be sent after the termination of the race.
