Race report – Race 5
Almost 1400 pigeons were released on Monday, January 5 for the ninth race of the season.
The headwind in the Dubai desert made it a tough race with averages of around 1200 m/min.
The first group of around 15 pigeons arrived from the seaside. A dark checker hen bred by Red Card of the UK won the race. Hooymans Pigeons of the Netherlands won 2nd place, confirming the great results in the last races. Third place was won by Emirati loft Al Manhal. Special mention to the current leader of the Grand Average International Sprint with a 4th position. This pigeon won already 2 times 4th and one time 6th place. Shoutout as well to Ibrahim Budastour of the UAE to have 2 pigeons positioned in the top 10.
We will have a new race on Thursday before starting the final weeks leading to the FCI Grand Final or Arabian Gulf Race.
